Richard Ashton

Can you help?

Our member, Richard Ashton writes that he is hopeful to enlist the help of members on three points as follows:

*The name of the last ship to leave Guernsey immediately before the

Germans arrived. My father was evacuated on that ship!

*Help on understanding the sheet numbering system on Guernsey

  Occupation Arms issues.

*Alderney Real Photo unused postcard (scan below) which has the Indian

white text “SOCIAL AT THE RINK, SEPT 1913 – ALDERNEY

(FAREWELL TO THE R.I.’s) FLASHLIGHT PHOTO Thomas A.

  Bramley, 71 Mount Durand, Guernsey”

It may be that some information has appeared in a past journal, but I am hoping for the most up-to-date data.
