The main town post office situated in Smith Street is to close in the Spring of next year and will be operated from two Co-op stores.

The outlet in the Markets will be modernised and will become the main town post office, offering traditional post office counter services from its four counters, including a self-service kiosk. The Markets post office will also offer Guernsey Post’s collectable philatelic items. Auction Lots and Prices Realized – a new link to the CISS.uk website

With the help of Nick Stuart (CISS Auctioneer) and Ed Martin (CISS Webmaster) a new link to the Auction section has been added that allows members to view previous CISS Auctions and the prices realized for each lot sold in that auction.

So if you were not the lucky winner of that special lot you can now see how much the lot actually was sold for, which may help you with bidding for similar lots in future CISS auctions.

All you have to do is log in to the CISS.uk website, click on “Auctions” in the menu options and then click on “Auctions Archive” where you will see images of lots from the last four auctions (NS9 – NS12) together with the hammer price.
